I read your fabulous description. Thanks for the update. It is splendid to hear from you again. Your efforts and patience are appreciated. Your immaculate attitude, terrific temperament coupled with profound technical skills are commendable. Kudos to you for that. 🙂 As @Jeet_singh I am responding on his behalf.

 

For now, please try these steps:

 

  • Uninstall the printer from "programs and features" which can be accessed by doing a right-click on the Windows button (Please have the printer Off and disconnected during uninstallation.)
  • Check in device manager, if the printer is listed there, please delete it. (Right click on the Windows button to access device manager)
  • Go to devices and printers, in control panel and select any printer listed there and you will get some options on the top. 
  • Click on print server properties. 
  • You will get a popup, click on the drivers tab and delete all the HP printer drivers listed there if any.
  • Delete all the instances of your printer listed in devices and printers.
  • Restart the PC.
  • Once the PC is on the desktop, press Win + R, it would bring a Run dialog box, 
  • Type %temp% in the run box and click Ok or hit the Enter button.
  • It would bring up the temporary files folder. Delete the files in the folder (You might not be able to delete all the files).
  • If possible, delete the printer from the registries using Regedit or using any other 3rd party application.
  • Ignore the Regedit option if it cannot be done.
  • Restart the PC again. 

Then download the latest full feature driver from https://hp.care/2NrqbOb  and install it on the computer after selecting the correct operating system.

Connect the printer to your computer only when the setup prompts for the printer.

This should fix the issue.

 

Perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. Good luck to you. I will keep a watch for your response. Please remember that we are not overloading you with a lot of troubleshooting steps. Instead, we are as eager as you are to get the situation corrected.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I see from your post that you are having issues while printing in color from your HP Envy 4520 printer. Don't worry we'll work together to help you find a solution.

 

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Did the issue happen after replacing the ink cartridges?

Are you using genuine HP Ink cartridges or refilled cartridges?

Have you followed any troubleshooting before posting this on HP Forums?

Are you able to make a copy from the printer?

 

Let's try to perform a Hard reset on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.

 

Remove all the ink cartridges and then try to perform a hard reset on the printer.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Remove USB cable, if present.

Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.

 

Let’s first try and make a colour “photocopy” to determine whether the issue is with the printer or not. Place a document on the scanner glass and choose “Copy” option. If the printer is making a good copy, then the printer hardware is fine.

 

Could you please respond to this post with the details and with the results of the troubleshooting for further assistance.
