Product: HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401n
I have an HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401n printer. I plug it in, push the power button, and the power light flashes briefly but won't stay turned on. It isn't getting enough power for long enough to light up the small LCD screen. I don't think this is an issue of "standby" mode based on what I've already tried. The printer is out of warranty, so I would appreciate real troubleshooting suggestions, not a "refer to your warranty" suggestion.
Here is what I have already tried:
- Power supply cord is fully connected/pushed in the printer and the wall outlet.
- I tried 3 different outlets. They all work for other things, but not the printer.
- I replaced the power supply cord with a different power supply cord. Same result, flashes but won't stay on.
- I left it unplugged from the outlet and the printer for a long time and the same issue happens.
- I found a suggestion online to hold the the right arrow button and the cancel button then try to restart. This did not work.
I really need this printer to work. Please help. Thank you!
