Hi @seeme4ahome,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that your getting an error "E6000" typically points to a printer issue that could relate to different factors such as a paper jam, ink system problem, or connectivity issue. Since you mention that your printer can still print a test copy, here are some steps to troubleshoot the error:

Check for Paper Jams

  • Although your printer can print a test page, it's a good idea to inspect the paper path for any paper jams or obstructions that might cause the error message.

Reinstall Ink Cartridges:

  •  Remove the ink cartridges and reinstall them to ensure they are seated properly. Sometimes, the printer may not recognize new cartridges if they are not installed correctly.

Inspect Ink Levels and Cartridges:

  •  Ensure that all ink cartridges are full and correctly recognized by the printer. Check for any protective tape on the cartridge that might not have been removed.

Reset the Printer

  • Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the internal functions of the printer and clear the error.

Check Printer Connections

  • Ensure that all cables and wireless connections are secure and functioning properly. A loose or weak connection might lead to errors.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Visit the HP support website to check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can often resolve issues related to error codes.

Take care and have an amazing day!
