I received the message printhead missing or failed.  (This was after it had printed fine)  I tried all the resets, including reinstalling the printhead.  Nothing worked.  I ordered a new printhead and installed it - I still have the same message.  What else could be wrong with it?

I have the HP 8620 printer

I understand you are not able to print due to this error on the printer. Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Error Indicates Faulty Printhead

 

If the error persists even after replacing the printhead, the issue could be with the printer. Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
