I was using the printer and it stopped printing with the alert Printerhead Problem. I have turned it off and on again. I've watched the video to try to solve the problem but keep receiving the same alert. I did open the door, lifted the gray latch and removed the printer cartridges and printhead and then reinstalled everything. The the alert won't go away. What am I missing? This has never happened before

Hi @WnL-Chris,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've already tried some basic troubleshooting steps for the printhead problem alert on your HP 3700 printer. Since the issue persists, here are some additional steps you can take:

Inspect the Printhead: After removing the printhead, inspect it closely for any visible signs of damage or debris. Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water to clean the printhead contacts and nozzles, if necessary. Be gentle to avoid causing further damage.

Check for Firmware Updates: Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve printhead issues. Check the HP website for any available updates for your printer model and follow the instructions to install them.

Reset the Printer: Perform a power reset on your printer by unplugging it from the power source, waiting for about 60 seconds, and then plugging it back in. Afterward, turn the printer back on and check if the alert persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
