Hi, I keep having a recurring Printhead  problem.

 

One time, months ago, I was able to resolve the issue.

However, now every time I switch the printer on, it shows a recurring Printhead problem. I have tried to resolve it, but the issue won't go away, leaving me unable to print.

 

Message reads:   There is a problem with the printhead.

                                  Oxc19a0003

 

Can anyone, Please help resolve this issue.

I understand the frustration you're experiencing with the recurring printhead problem on your HP OfficeJet Pro 6978. The error code Oxc19a0003 typically indicates an issue with the ink system or the printhead. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the problem:

  1. Reset the Printer:
    • Turn off the printer.
    • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
    • Wait for about a minute.
    • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
  2. Update Firmware:
    • Make sure your printer has the latest firmware. Check the HP website for firmware updates specific to your printer model and follow the instructions to update it.
  3. Clean the Printhead:
    • Open the printer lid and wait for the carriage to move to the center.
    • Remove the ink cartridges.
    • Lift the latch handle on the printhead and remove it.
    • Gently clean the contacts on the printhead with a lint-free cloth.
    • Reinstall the printhead and ink cartridges.
  4. Check for Ink Cartridge Issues:
    • Ensure that all ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
    • Replace any empty or low ink cartridges.
