To whom it may concern,
I attempted to print Avery brand address labels (i.e. 2160 series) on HP OfficeJet 3830, but there is no available dropdown feature that allows the user to choose the Labels options. Are there any ways to print labels with the HP OfficeJet Printer?
Eagerly awaiting a reply.

Greetings @mwolfe808,
Thanks for the post and Welcome to HP Forums.
I understand that you are looking to print labels on your printer.
Don't worry, I will be glad to help.
Have you checked the printer preferences?
Are you able to print on regular paper?
May I know which application you are using to print labels?
Please open devices and printers by searching it on the control panel.
Right-click on the printer.
Select printer preferences.
Select Paper/Quality.
Click on Media and change it to labels.
Please click here for the printer specifications. Check under paper-handling specifications.
Please do check the print preview before you print.
Hope this helped.

I completed all steps up to the Printer Preferences Window > Paper/Quality Tab > Media Group, where I need to find the Labels dropdown option but I'm having a hard time locating it. Do you know what Media Group option that I need to choose? HP Photo paper? Other photo, matte, or glossy inkjet paper?

Thanks for the reply and providing the screenshot. When I check the settings at my end, every printer settings has "labels" option in the printer preferences.
If you do not have an option for labels in the drop down box.
Recommend you uninstall the printer software following procedure mentioned below and install the latest version by downloading it from www.hp.com/drivers
Uninstall the printer from programs and features from the control panel. (Please have the printer Off and disconnected during uninstallation.)
Check in device manager, if the printer is listed there, please delete it.
Go to devices and printers, select any printer listed there and you will get some options on the top.
Click on print server properties.
You will get a popup, click on the drivers tab and delete all the HP printer drivers listed there, if any.
Delete all the instances of your printer listed in devices and printers.
Restart the PC.
Update the firmware on the printer by downloading it from www.hp.com/drivers (Please connect the printer to your computer by a USB cable while updating the firmware.)
Once the PC is on the desktop, press Win + R, it would bring a Run dialog box,
Type %temp% in the run box and click Ok or hit the Enter button.
It would bring up the temporary files folder. Delete the files in the folder (You might not be able to delete all the files).
If possible, delete the printer from the registries using Regedit or using any other 3rd party application.
Restart the PC again.
Download the latest full feature driver from www.hp.com/drivers and install it on the computer.
Connect the printer to your computer only when the setup prompts for the printer.
Keep me posted.

I had the same issue and was able to fix it. For me it wasn’t just the labels, anything I printed started at the very top of the page no matter how many lines down on the page it was.
To fix this I want through the menu on the printer and in setup, tools (on the 8610) there is an option to “Restore Factory Defaults.” After I did that everything cleared up. I am using wireless and had to reconnect it, but that was it and the problem is gone.
