My printer is  very low on ink but it still will print an info page , email, or similar when i request it. However  every time i request a document whether pdf or docx, it acts and sounds like its printing, but pages are blank. Anyone have any ideas about this?

@Sassyspy,

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. I see from your post that you are having issues with printer printing blank pages. Don't worry I'll be glad to help you.

As you have mentioned in your post that  the ink levels on your printer is too low. Now certain amount of ink will be utilized for printer maintenance

Ink level warnings and indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only. When an indicator shows low ink levels, consider having a replacement ink cartridge available to avoid possible printing delays. You do not need to replace ink cartridges until print quality becomes unacceptable.

Now talking about info page, it utilizes less amount when compared to emails and documents. Hence, I would suggest here is to go ahead and replace the ink cartridges which are low.

Hi

Thanks for your help. I guess I am hesitant to go buy cartridges when I've signed up for instant ink and am waiting for some to come.

But, it looks like I'll have to go buy some because its taking a long time for ink to arrive.

But thank you for clearing that up, I just couldnt understand why it would have enough ink to  print information pages but not requested documents.
