I am trying to print a 5.5 X 8.5 envelope using Hallmark Card Studio and I receive an error message stating wrong paper size.  This is the size of the envelope, and the dropdown lists does not list this size.  I have tried customizing the size for the printer and it continues with the error message.  The closest size (Single-Fold 162mm x 229mm C5) works but the text for the envelope shrinks some.  How do I get the printer to print the 5.5 x 8.5 envelope?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are unable to print on Envelopes, I am glad to assist you.

Create custom paper sizes in printer properties to print on Envelopes

  • Enter a custom paper size directly from the printer properties menu in Windows 10.
  • Load the custom paper into the main tray, and then slide the paper width guides in until they rest against the edges of the paper.
  • Open the item you want to print, click File, and then click Print.
  • In the Print window, click Preferences, Properties, or Printer Properties.
  • Click the Paper/Quality tab, and then click Custom.
  • Custom paper button in Printer Preferences
  • Click New, type a name for the custom paper size, select the width and height, and then click OK to save the paper.
  • Click the Paper Size drop-down menu, and then select the paper size you created.
