Hi @rebelp,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Blank Page Printing Issues on HP OfficeJet 5258!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Ink Cartridge Status:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed. Check for any protective tape that might not have been removed from the cartridges.
  • Re-seat the ink cartridges by removing them and inserting them back into the printer securely.

Clean the Printhead:

  • Use the printer's control panel or the HP Smart App to run the printhead cleaning utility. This can improve print quality and resolve issues related to clogged nozzles.
  • You can also manually clean the printhead if necessary. Consult your printer's user manual for detailed instructions.

Perform a Printer Alignment:

  • Printing issues can sometimes be resolved by aligning the printer. Use the control panel or HP software on your computer to run an alignment procedure.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed. Firmware updates can resolve numerous issues including print quality problems. Check the HP website or use HP Smart App for updates.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges:

  • Ensure you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Non-HP cartridges might not provide reliable performance and can cause print quality issues.

Check Print Settings:

  • Verify your print settings on your computer; ensure the paper size, type, and print mode (color vs. grayscale) are correctly set.

Restart and Reset Printer:

  • Power off the printer, unplug it, and wait a few minutes before plugging it back in and powering it up. This can sometimes help refresh the printer’s configuration.

I hope this helps.
