Bought new Premium Plus Photo paper and I'm so frusterated trying to print on it!
Either I get all back bars, mostly on the back or it cut's off a 1/4 of the image.
Any suggestions?

Thank you for getting back to me. After taking a look in the Printer Specifications under the paper tray capacities, the max weight is listed as up to 281gms (75lb). The one you are using is heavier (80lb) which is why you are seeing the issue.
I would still like you to update the software and drivers so they are compatible with your Windows 10 Operating system. Please follow the steps listed below:
Please try Disabling your firewall and perform a clean boot. Now follow the steps below:
1. Unplug the USB if using a direct connection.
2. Remove the HP Envy 4500 software from your computers Control Panel's Uninstall a program option.
3. Restart the computer.
4. Make sure all the Envy 4500 software is gone from the programs list as well as your HP folder listed under the All programs in your Start Menu.
5. Now go ahead and download the software and drivers for your Envy 4500 (DO NOT plug in USB until the software prompts you to):
HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers
6. Go ahead and print a test page.
7. If you are unable to print a test page, please run the HP Print and Scan Doctor > www.hp.com/go/tools
-- It was designed by HP to provide users with the troubleshooting and problem solving features needed to resolve many common problems experienced with HP print and scan products connected to Windows-based computers.
You can attempt to retry the photo, but I would suggest changing the paper first. Please let me know if this was successful!

I never had a problem until I bought the HP Premium Plus soft gloss 80lb. photo paper.
Ive been using Windows to for months without a problem. My printer also printed just fine on some of the older paper I had- HP gloss, but it was lighter in weight.
No I have not installed the new drivers for windows 10.
Yes, my printer is an HP Envy 4500 wireless.
Hope I remember all your questions.
I appreciate the assistance.
Nadine

Interestingly the HP Premium Plus paper specifically states that it is compatible with the Envy 4500, also the Envy 4500 handbook states this too, despite also stating the maximum of 280gsm. So the advertising for HP Premium Plus paper is erroneous and misleading, and the printer manual is self-contradictory. I am having exactly the same problem so it seems that the 280gsm limit really is the limit.
I wonder how many people have wasted money on the Premium Plus paper based on the incorrect information both in the printer handbook and on the paper spec?

1. What brand photo paper are you using, weight etc.? HP Premium Photo Paper, 10 ml, 240 g/m2
2. Did you upgrade the software and drivers for the Envy 4500 for the Windows 10 Operating system? yes
3. How is the printer connected, with a USB or Wireless? USB - the job goes to the printer the paper does not load.
4. What settings are you changing before you print, quality, type etc.? Photo paper, borderless, landscape.
The paper starts to load then does not properly go through the mechanism. I hear the heads going back and forth but there is nothing printed on the photo when the paper is ejected.
