HP Color Laser 150nw

Hello, when I print the top of the page is replicated in the bottom, with a very bad quality.
The printer is a HP Color Laser 150nw with 1500 prints, Imaging unit 80%, Transfer unit 84%.

How can I fix it?

@Giacomo96, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding print quality issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It looks like your HP Color Laser 150nw printer is experiencing an issue where the top of the page is being duplicated at the bottom with poor print quality. Based on your printer’s current status, here are some potential causes and solutions:

Possible Causes:

Transfer Belt or Drum Issue

  • Your imaging unit is at 80% life, and the transfer unit is at 84%. If either of these components is dirty or malfunctioning, they could cause ghosting or repeated prints.

Fuser Unit Problem

  • Your fuser life is 3207/20000, which means it still has significant life left. However, a failing or improperly heated fuser can cause ghosting effects.

Toner Issues

  • Your yellow toner is at 0%, and other toners are low. This might not directly cause duplication but can lead to print quality issues.

Humidity or Paper Issues

  • Using damp or incompatible paper can cause toner to improperly fuse, leading to ghost images.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Check the Imaging and Transfer Units

  • Remove the imaging drum and check for any toner buildup or damage.
  • Clean the transfer belt gently if visible dust or toner is present.

Inspect the Fuser Unit

  • If accessible, check if the fuser is heating correctly. If it’s worn or misaligned, it may need replacement.

Run a Printer Cleaning Cycle

  • Go to your printer settings and perform a cleaning cycle to remove any residual toner on the rollers.

Use Fresh, High-Quality Paper

  • Ensure you are using dry, smooth laser printer-compatible paper.

Replace the Yellow Toner

  • Since the yellow toner is completely depleted, replacing it might improve overall print quality.

Let me know if you need further help!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
