HP ENVY Photo 6230 All-in-One Printer

My printer is working and when I send a test page it prints off, however when I email the printer a document it comes back saying received (an email to me) but does not print it out. I check settings and the doc is not in a que, also troubleshot the printer and all seems fine. I have asked AI HP support and the advice was to turn off and take the power lead out of the wall plug and start again but same thing happens. What can i do to solve this, thanks Jonathan

Check Email Print Settings

  1. Email Address Verification: Make sure you are sending the document to the correct email address assigned to your printer.
  2. Supported Formats: Ensure the document format is supported by HP ePrint service (PDF, Word, images, etc.).
  3. Print Settings: Verify that the printer's email settings allow printing of attachments.

Troubleshooting Steps

Reboot Printer and Router:

  • Power Cycle: Turn off your printer and router. Wait for a few minutes, then turn them back on to refresh the network connection.

Check for Email Blocks:

  • Blocked Emails: Sometimes, email servers might block certain emails. Ensure that emails from your sending address are not blocked.

Update Firmware:

  • Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Check HP's support website for firmware updates for the HP ENVY Photo 6230.

Check Email Account:

  • Email Account: Make sure your email account settings (from where you send the document) are correctly configured without any security settings blocking the email.

Resend Document:

  • Resend Email: Try sending the email again with a different attachment or from a different email account.
