The printed paper has words blurred or doubled at the edges of the paper.

Welcome to HP forums, I see that you are getting print quality issues while printing on ENVY 5020 printer.

 

Check for ink smears on the back of printouts

  1. Load the printer with plain white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe left on the display, and then touch Setup .

  3. Touch Tools.

  4. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Clean Page Smears.

    The printer slowly feeds a blank page.

  5. Wait for the printer to eject the blank page.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report

  1. Load the printer with plain white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe left on the display, and then touch Setup .

  3. Touch Tools.

  4. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Print Quality Report.

If it does not print good, clean the ink cartridges

  1. Load the printer with plain white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe left on the display, and then touch Setup .

  3. Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Cartridges.

    The printer prints a Print Quality Diagnostic report.

  4. Examine the print quality on the Print Quality Diagnostic report.

    • If the print quality is acceptable, touch No.
