HP Officejet 7612

When I print, about every other page, it prints these magenta streaks all over the page. They are from left to right. Anyone else have this? How can i possibly fix it? The printer is 5 years old but it works fine except for this

Welcome to the HP Support Community

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Are you facing the same issue while making a copy?

Could you please help me with the operating system of the computer?

Use an automated tool to align the printhead

  1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow (), and then touch Setup ().

  2. Touch Tools, and then touch Align Printhead.

  3. Wait while the printer aligns the printhead and then prints an alignment page.

  4. Print another Print Quality Diagnostic Page to see if the issue is resolved.

Use the below steps to align the printer, if the alignment does not go through.

How to print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page

  1. Load plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, touch the Right arrow (), and then touch Reports.

  3. From the Reports menu, touch Print Quality Report. The test page prints.

Try to print.

It isn't consistant. It does it either if i make a copy or print from my computer. I actually never know when it will happen.

I run on WIndows 10 pro. I will try your solutions to see if they help. Thanks so much

for your reply.
