Every time I try to print, I get a diagnostics page. How do I stop it?

The page shown is an alignment page, it will print when the printer is turned on until the alignment completes. Unfortunately, the color is not working, so the alignment fails every time. The printer may give up after some number of attempts, but the best solution would be to get the color working.
The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve color not printing on your Photosmart c3100 series printer. If the diagnostic page in step five is missing the color sections the document here may help. Also, make sure the protective tape has been removed frrom the nozzles, and of course check the ink levels for the color cartridge.

If you recently changed one of the ink cartridges, this might be an Alignment page.
If so, read the instructions, then place the page on the printer glass, face down, in the correct corner and perform the alignment.

No idea. The alignment page is usually the most likely culprit...

Commentary
If (and especially if) the issue surfaced after a recent Windows Update, you might want to remove and then install a fresh copy of the Full Feature Software for the printer.
In particular, this last suggestion is just more "looking for Easter Eggs" -- the printer software is old; if there is anything to be gained by reinstalling the software, the action would only (actually) be useful if the problem is being caused by an error or corruption in the current installation.

I suspect I have missed something.
@Bob_Headrick - Do you have words of wisdom to offer?
A page prints whenever the printer is switched on.
The content is not complete - I would (now) guess that this is one of the "color not printing" issues.
??
Thanks.
