I understand you are trying to replace the ink cartridges might be causing the issue with your HP ENVY 6430e All-In-One Printer.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem:
Check the Ink Cartridges
Power Off and On: Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Reseat the Ink Cartridges:
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Remove the ink cartridges and check them for any visible damage or issues.
- Reinstall the ink cartridges, making sure they are seated properly.
Clean the Contacts:
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to gently clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridges and inside the printer.
- Allow the contacts to dry before reinserting the cartridges.
Check for Protective Tape: Ensure that you have removed any protective tape or plastic covering the contacts on the new cartridges.
Reset the Printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer if it does not automatically turn on.
Update or Reinstall the Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Go to the HP Support page and search for your printer model.
- Download and install the latest firmware for your printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to update your printer's firmware.
Perform a Factory Reset
If none of the above steps work, you might need to perform a factory reset:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord.
- Hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
