LaserJet Pro M130fw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Laserjet Pro M130fw, when printing, printouts are ghosting, reprinting info below already printed on same page. Replaced both imaging drum and toner cartridge and ran clean and printouts are still ghosting. Updated Firmware on printer and drivers (Windows 10 64 Bit) and still ghosting, what more can I do?

Ghosting or repetitive defects are often caused by a damaged fuser unit. Either it is not maintaining an adequate temperature or it is too hot and is lifting toner off the page and redepositing it. Make sure that you have the paper type set to match what you are printing on and also realize that smaller laser printers do not always have the capability to print consistently on very heavy media such as labels or card stock.

Thanks for the response Repairatrooper, isn't the fuser part of the imaging drum cartridge on these units? I have replaced the imaging drum unit and paper is set to "plain". Paper type is just standard Staples average quality 8.5" x 11", nothing special. CAn fuser unit temp be adjusted?

The fuser is not part of the cartridge. The fuser is inside the printer and it is the part of the printer that heats up to bond the toner to the paper. Can you post a sample of what you are seeing as that sometimes helps. Many of the smaller laserjet printers are not consumer friendly in terms of access to the fuser and often major disassembly is required just to see the fuser, much less remove it.

Oh and the basics, printer plugged directly into the wall, no surge protectors or multi-outlet taps allowed. Even a small printer like this can draw up to 10 amps at times.
