Problem with ink system

Office jet Pro 8620
macOS 10.15 Catalina

hello, 

 

I keep getting the ‘problem with ink system’ error. There seems to be no issues with the cartridges. The error says to inspect, reinstall them, and turn off the printer. When I do all the above and then try to turn off the printer, i get the following error: printer initialization and calibration in progress. “Do not turn printer off or disconnect power during the process” 

 

I have already manually disconnected power over night, still the same issue. Thanks

If you have already performed the steps from the document Resolving 'Ink System Failure', 'System Supply Problem' Errors and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
