@KEG8_, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

From the printout you shared, your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw is producing output with black horizontal lines, streaks, and faded/missing sections. Since you’ve already resolved the connection issue, this looks like a print quality problem. Here are the troubleshooting steps you can follow:

Check Paper and Print Settings

Make sure you are using plain, good-quality paper (not damp or curled).

In Windows 11, when printing:

Go to Print Preferences.

Ensure Paper Type matches what’s loaded (Plain, Letter/A4).

Try setting Print Quality to “Best.”

Run a Cleaning Page

On the printer’s control panel:

Press the Setup button.

Go to System Setup → Service → Cleaning Page.

The printer will feed a page through slowly to remove toner buildup.

Repeat if necessary.

Check Toner Cartridges

Open the toner access door and carefully remove each toner cartridge.

Gently rock each cartridge side to side to redistribute toner.

Check for:

Low toner (replace if near empty).

Leaks, damage, or scratches on the green imaging drum surface (do not touch the drum directly).

Reinsert cartridges securely.

Print a Supplies Status Page

On the control panel:
Reports → Supplies Status.

This will show toner levels and may reveal if a cartridge is faulty.

Run HP Smart:

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

Check for Hardware Issues

If cleaning and reseating cartridges don’t help, the issue may be with:

Transfer belt (toner not transferring properly).

Fuser unit (toner not bonding to paper).

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
