@MartinaSands, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Printhead errors can be frustrating, but I can help you troubleshoot this issue. Here are some steps you can follow to resolve the printhead error on your HP printer:
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Clean the Printhead:
- Open the printer's access door to expose the printhead and ink cartridges.
- Remove the ink cartridges carefully.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with distilled or bottled water to gently clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and the ink cartridges.
Reinstall the Printhead:
- If your printer has a removable printhead, lift the latch on the carriage and remove the printhead.
- Clean the printhead contacts and reinstall it securely.
Check for Debris:
- Ensure there are no paper jams or debris inside the printer that might be causing the error.
