Hi @hey0kay,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving a Problem with the ink system error.

Please try the below suggestions:

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Try the steps in the document -Printhead errors

If the issue persists, I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello Jay,

Thank you for the suggestion. I have tried numerous times unfortunately it didn't work.

The printer has been unable to print anything for 6 months now. I really don't like throwing things away. It was working fine but one day it kept saying "HP INSTANT INK PROBLEM". I was enrolled on the instant ink but since I wasn't able to print anything, I decided no unsubscribe.

The inks are fairly new so it has a lot in it in colour, the black is pretty much full.

I have also gone through the virtual live chat and it's like talking to a wall.

Check error in a single cartridge mode-

Try the single-cartridge mode

The printer you own can work in single-cartridge mode, wherein the printer will be able to print with one cartridge in the printer. Which will help us identify if its a cartridge issue or a printhead issue

To try single-cartridge mode follow the below steps:

  • remove the black ink from the printer, leave the color in and try printing,
  • then remove the color ink, insert the black  in and try printing

Let me know how this goes!
