Product: HP Officejet 5742
I purchased a multi package 62XL black and color cartridge. The color worked fine but the Black 62XL cartridge gave me the INK CARTRIDGES PROBLEM error. Sam's will not take back the product because the package is open. Any ideas how to get the cartridge to work or get a new one from HP?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
- If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
- Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
