I am really annoyed with the HP instant ink. I have the 500 a month plan for $14.99 and I print more than 500 pages a month. They do not offer anything for businesses that prints a lot. I've read so many reviews about canceling my subscription and still being charged or not being able to use the ink. I also have an issue with the ink that originally came with the printer being counted as pages used. ummmm why? that's not hp instant ink!!! So, now I have to decide if I want to pay $1.00 for 30 pages if I go over 500 pages or if I want to just buy my own ink and not allow a company to tell me how much I can or can not print! (SCREAMS REAL LOUD)

Sorry the Instant Ink plan is not meeting your needs. There is a fair amount of misinformation of misunderstanding out there, typically caused by a failure to read the terms. See: https://instantink.hpconnected.com/us/en/terms
To address your concerns:
- Billing for Instant Ink happens after the usage. If you cancel your account you will get a final bill after the final billing period is over. Note that if you cancel the plan during the month it will actually remain in effect until the end of the current billing period. Your last bill will include any subscription as well as any overage charges.
- Once your plan is no longer active the Instant Ink cartridges will no longer operate and must be returned to HP as indicated in the terms of service section 5.e. With the Instant Ink program you are not paying for ink, you are paying for pages. The Instant Ink cartridges remain the property of HP as described in section 5.d of the terms.
- The printer you have has "Instant Ink Ready" cartridges. If you sign up for Instant Ink the cartridges convert to Instant Ink cartridges as described in section 5.d of the agreement.
- You certainly have the option of discontinuing the program and using retail cartridges. It is possible (but unlikely) that you will find it more economical to print using retail cartridges.
- HP does not limit how much you can print, but they do charge for pages.
