Just a few days ago, I printed several pictures on my HP8610 printer with excellent results and no problems ever with this printer..  Yesterday I attempted to print a document and got and error stating that the print head was not present or improperly installed!!!  Now, in seeking be able to use the new ink catridges I just purchase a few week ago.... I find that the HP8710 will not accept them...  They are useless and cost close to $100.00!!!   Obviously I am pretty ticked!!!

Hi,

The HP Officejet Pro 8600 or 8610 were the latest models to use the HP 951 ink cartridges.

 

The HP Officejet 8710 printer uses the HP 952/953/954/955 cartridges (varies by your country), it cannot use HP 951.
