After latest firmware upgrade (20220729) on my color laserjet pro m283fdw, the printer is in a reboot loop. Can anyone please send me the firmware n-1 as this worked fine.

Welcome to the HP Support Community

 

I understand you are getting an error message 79 service error on your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

We need to perform a reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

 

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Why not simply sharing older Firmware versions and everyone can grab it?

Hi HP-support team. The problem still exists and I assume that someone deleted the file in the folder on the ftp-server you've sent me. Can you please check the ftp-server or send me the firmware in another way? I'm facing this issue since weeks and I'm frustrated that it's not possible to share older firmware officially on the homepage!! Can you please support?

I have been getting Service Error 79 on my HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw.

 

Tried all options listed here such as disabling of IPV6, Restart, upgrading of firmware etc, but the service error 79 keeps coming and the Printer keeps rebooting - almost in a loop. It comes back up, stays for some time and restarts

How can i fix the issue?
