Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer

I'm getting error code 0x6100004a. There seems to be quite a few solutions to this on the forum and I've tried them all, with no progress. Is my 4-year-old printer just broken beyond repair?  This is my second back-to-back HP longevity problem. These printers are just not made how they used to be and it's time to change my loyalty to this brand. I have more important things to do in life than fixing printer glitches, which have happened on a regular basis with this HP OP 6978, since the day it was installed. Sorry HP.
