HP update to firmware is now blocking my non ho cartridges and I can no longer print!!!

I need to have this corrected ASAP
I refuse to pay the much more expensive  HP cartridges,

HP is holding me hostage.  I need this corrected. It was printing fine before the firmware update,!which is what this update HAD INT was created. T

Hello,

 

Your printer has dynamic security. It only applies to ink cartridges equipped with an authentic HP electronic circuit. Ink cartridges with modified or non-HP electronic circuits may not work, and those that are currently operating may not work in the future.

If you wish, you can purchase an HP Instant Ink plan, so you can use your printer with authentic HP cartridges. The price of the package is based only on the number of pages printed and not on the number of ink cartridges received by the service.

What a bunch of garbage!  This person is obviously an HP employee!  As many other people know, the firmware HP imposed was 1st and foremost to put more money in their pocket and force people to have to use their cartridges if they unknowingly purchased an HP printer!  To

further support this is a bunch of garbage, is the fact I had HP printers in the past THAT NEVER HAD ANY “FIRMWARE” imposed and NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES FOR THE MANY YEARS I OWNED IT!!!!!!!  
I Work for a very large, well known company in an integral position and part of my role is... guess what... YUP OFFICE EQUIPMENT!  I’m putting in immediate direction to terminate any HP equipment leases!  HP is greedy and out for their own gain.  I am also going to post this complaint, along with the patronizing, moronic response to many other sites to make people aware of what HP has done and suggest purchasing a different brand printer!!

Dear HP,

 

I am also affected by this problem when even extracting a working cartridge and putting it back in.

You have crossed the line for the second time, like in 2016 when you had to send a public apology. What do you think will be your customer's reaction when we have a certain stock of compatible cartridges that we will now need to throw into the garbage? At least, you could have the decency to inform customers in time so we would avoid purchasing the compatible ones. 

I have purchased more than 7 HP printers in the last 25 years but I am afraid the next one will be from a different brand. I hope your earnings in cartridges will compensate for the huge loss of clients that I anticipate you will have.

If you really care about your customers, you would push a firmware upgrade that removes the blocking. We will see what your choice is...

We were using non HP Ink before last firmware update. The update blocked non HP ink cartages. How can we get them to work again?

We have non HP Toner cartridges for our M428fdw.  Due to the firmware updater our cartridges won't work.  What is the corrective action to fix this and use the non HP cartridges as it is illegal to lock out non HP cartridges.
