Hi. I'm out of ink in my current cartridges and after loading four new OEM HP cartridges, get an error saying they re incompatible.  All are HP950/951XL.  I purchased the printer in either the US or Germany, and have not encountered this probelm before, even though I have replaced catridges before (or thought I did).  The current cartridges are CN045AE z20, and show Europe.  I purchased the new HP cartridges via Amazon (they are OEM), but they don't work. The new catridges are all CN047AN Z10.  I understand that there is a printer-specific process to reset my region.  Will you please sent this to me?  Or am I out of luck, being in Europe with US cartridges? I don't understand how HP sells them this way...there is no specification to region on the box.

Hi @JP-4,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I will be more than happy to help you out here.

To perform a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.
2. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer.
3. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region/country from where the printer was purchased originally or the new region/country to which you want to reset it to.
4. Make sure HP Smart App is installed too.

I request you to help with the above details in private message.
