HP Officejet 8040 All-in-One Printer

Hi there, I got a nice HP Officejet 8040 All-in-One Printer. Works perfectly fine until... HP removed the InstankInk for this printer and After many attempts to remove the web services set up with out luck. I have now a printer that cancel every prints because it can not connect to web services... Ridiculous!

Why condamning a perfect printer to garbage just because we don’t order ink from you? Please update firmware so i can atill use my printer or it will go to the garbage... And I will not buy another HP for sure... Thank you!

@thomasB44, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

HP Officejet 8040 All-in-One Printer has not been affected. Web services are not disabled on this model printer. For more info, refer to this document - Web Services Stop Working

What is the error you get?

Are you trying to print from a computer?

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Cannot Connect to Web Services

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I have tried everything already... I am still enabled to set up web services and I cannot print. "connect printer to update HP instant Ink status". The internet connection is working perfectly, the printer is "visible" to all devices on the network. Every time I print from my computer and/or phone. I am getting the error as mentioned above. It's asking me to set up Web services and I can not connect to web services. "the server might be busy or temporarily unavailable.. Try again later." Tried from my computer, from the device touch screen even from the HP smart app. Nothing is working.
We have 2 printers like this, one at home and another at work and, they are both doing the same error... Very frustrating!
