I received the 'blue screen of death' on my printer panel over the weekend. I called in for support and was told that the printer has died. I need to purchase a new one. I did.
The problem is that I had JUST replaced the black ink on Friday. I want to get the ink cartridge out and put it in the new printer. However, the cartridge carriage won't slide to the left so I can remove it. Does anyone know a hack that will enable the carriage to slide to the left so I can remove it?

@feisty472, Welcome to HP Support Community!
I understand you would want to remove the ink cartridges from your old printer and install the same on the new printer purchased. The ink cartridges cannot be removed if the carriage is stuck, however, you can try the troubleshooting steps from the document 'Carriage Jam' or 'E3' Error Displays.
If you are unable to fix it, please reach out to the HP Support in your region for ink replacement/other available options.
Hope this helps!
