I got error code 71.02.4A on my HP OfficeJet 8022.  I came here to find a solution and followed the steps to open the printer and reset by unplugging the cord and power chord.  I took out the cartridges and plugged back in, and then was unable to place cartridges back in.  After many tries, I was able to manually move the cartridge part to place them back in.

But before I did, I cleaned the cartridges on the copper part and the other areas.  I have been here for hours trying a solution by going to support and virtual assistant, etc.  (which was no help AT ALL)  In summary, I believe that when I pushed in the small coil part that goes under the cartridge part while cleaning the inside of the printer, that is when I finally got a reaction from the printer and it gave me options to reset and do a test print.  AND IT FINALLY WORKED!!!
