Product: HP Envy Photo 7830
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was asked to change the admin password in order to import a valid certificate for HTTPS.
I generated a password (20 normal characters) and copied it to set the admin password.

I can't log in with "admin" as login and this password.

How can I reset the password ?

I found out that the password is truncated to 16 chars.

=> bug of the management interface

- no indication of the expected format

- truncates password without saying it ... and the login interface doesn't apply the same truncation ...

And a proper certificate with "Subject Alternative Name" indicating the DNS names makes Edge accept the certificate (if CA acceptance is also fixed).

If I were not working in IT, I imagined I wouldn't have been able to fix this.
