I recently had a paper jam with my HP Photosmart 5524 and upon clearing the jam inadvertently dislodged the duplex path cover. After putting it back how I thought it should go, the printer will print one-sided but will no longer print double-sided, so I'm guessing I've not reset the duplex path cover correctly - can anyone point me to a photo or video of how it should sit (I've trawled YouTube and HP's website but they're no help!). Thanks. Photo of current duplex path cover position below:

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know how to install the duplexer correctly.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
Refer to page 39 from the below user guide for the printer and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thanks for your suggestion. However, the manual shows only the setting and removal of the cover by which you access the Duplex Path, whereas my problem is with the bit that is then revealed with the rollers on it (as per my photo). It's this latter bit which became dislodged and may not have been reset correctly.
Kind regards

This seems to be a hardware issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
I hope that helps.
Cheers.
