My HP Printer 6600 is no longer working. I have just purchased a replacement HP 6968 which requires different ink cartridges. I understand from other postings I can exchange the unused cartridges for ones that will work in my new printer. Who do I contact to request the exchange?

The link provided did not provide a number for customer service. I had to locate customer service # on my own.
I had to call 3 different customer support numbers before finally talking to someone who was able to help me. The first two people did not seem to know what I was talking about. I finally spoke to someone at 1-888-444-8834 who allowed me to return 4 cartridges I had recently purchased (8/2/17). HP only allows returns for 30 days, so I guess the customer service rep gave me some latitude. He would not permit me to return one cartridge remaining from a purchase from April, 2017, and there does not appear to be any actual "exchange" program when you buy a replacement HP printer. The customer service rep sent me (via email) a Fed Ex return shipping lable (prepaid) and gave me a return authorization number. The refund for unused cartridges is to be refunded to my credit card.
This was not an easy process.
