while setting up my printer the test prints would get blocked and cram the paper, upon investigation I found a loose roller blocking the print path.  Removed it and it seems to work ok, did test prints and alignment and all seems fine.  Is this important?

Yes and no, there are more rollers like that inside. If you miss 1 and it prints, you are fine, but if you miss 2 or more, then you will get a paper jam.
