Alright, so I’ve had this printer for about a decade, and it works beautifully well still. The other day I had to replace the black ink carriage which was empty. I had bought 2 in a pack about a month before. I opened the new one in the pack and inserted it into the printer. Low and behold, the page would “print” but completely blank.
For the next day I inserted the page and did this Over and over and nothing. It was a BRAND NEW cartridge!
I looked through and through this forum. But all people suggested was to buy a new cartridge and to NOT TOUCH THE COPPER INK FILM. Well! Guess what I did? First... not buy another $30 cartridge. And 2, I got the cartridge, blotted it on some paper, and put it back in. And guess what happened? IT PRINTED IN BLACK!
Its just an ink clot. It was sitting in my room for over a month so that’s understandable. Don’t just go waste your money and buy a new one. Ink is one of the most expensive liquids in the world. Good luck.
