SPL ERROR INCOMPLETE SESSION BY TIME OUT - I keep getting this message on my M 2070 FW. Sometimes one page will print and then this message will start. It is intermittent but occasionally the printer will deliver. It started when I switched my service from ATT to Xfinity and never corrected it self. Printing is nightmare.

Hi @anis_98

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "SPL ERROR INCOMPLETE SESSION BY TIME OUT" message on your HP M2070 printer can be frustrating, especially if it started after switching your internet service. Here are some troubleshooting steps to address this issue:

1. Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. If you moved to Xfinity, you might need to reconnect your printer to the new network.

2. Reset Network Settings:

  • Reset the network settings on the printer:
    • Go to the printer’s menu, find Setup > Network Setup, and select Restore Network Defaults.

3. Reconfigure Wi-Fi:

  • After resetting, use the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect your printer to the Xfinity network again. Make sure you enter the correct Wi-Fi password.

4. Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check for firmware updates on the HP support website. Updating the printer's firmware can resolve various connectivity issues.

5. Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.

6. Check for Print Jobs:

  • Clear any pending print jobs in the print queue. Sometimes, stuck jobs can cause errors.

7. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor. This tool can diagnose and fix many printing issues.

8. Test Printing via USB:

  • If possible, connect the printer directly to your computer using a USB cable to see if the problem persists. This can help determine if the issue is network-related.

9. Check Router Settings:

  • Ensure that your router's settings allow for printer connections. Look for settings related to IP filtering or MAC address filtering that may block the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
