Samsung Xpress SL-M2835DW Laser Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

The little red light keeps blinking and the bigger bar light solid red. Message popped up telling me toner cartridge was empty. I replaced the cartridge, unplug the power cord for a few minutes, plugged back in and the red lights came back on. I can not get the printer to print.

Any help getting this to start working again would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi @JimHande,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're having trouble with your Samsung Xpress SL-M2835DW laser printer showing red light indicators even after replacing the toner cartridge. You're on Windows 11, and it's not printing.

Let’s work through it step-by-step.

1. Reseat and Shake the Toner Cartridge

  • Power off the printer.
  • Remove the toner cartridge.
  • Gently shake it side to side to redistribute the toner.
  • Reinsert it firmly and ensure it clicks into place.
  • Power the printer back on.

2. Check for Protective Seals

  • Make sure you’ve removed all protective seals or tabs from the new toner cartridge.
  • A missed seal can prevent the printer from recognizing the cartridge.

3. Use Easy Printer Manager

4. Try a Different Cartridge (if available)

  • If the issue persists, the new cartridge might be defective or incompatible.
  • Try another cartridge if you have one, preferably an original Samsung/HP toner.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
