printer. ENVY5055

After newest android update, my phone will not print to my envy 5055 at all. The printer recognizes the connection but the phone seems blind.

I recommend you uninstall HP smart app from your phone and reinstall it.

I have done the following:

1. Uninstalled/reinstalled HP Smartprint

2. Uninstalled/reinstalled HP plugin.

3. Turned off my phone

4 unplugged the printer.

The printer recognizes the mobile device being connected.

My s9 acts as if it cannot receive any info from the printer. 

Anyone else have this problem?

I have no internet and need to be able to print wifi direct

Yeah, I had already been there. No joy. I think I am going to have to wait until the next android update. Hopefully this will get worked out.

I recommend you try using a different phone and check whether you are able to print. This will confirm whether the issue is with the phone or the printer.

Did that already with my wife's s9. Same thing. It acts as if the android update made the wifi direct blind. The printer connects to either s9 but the phone's say printer not available.  I suppose it could be an internal issue not transmitting to the mobile device but I am suspect of the timing.
