I have messed up my print head aligment.
There was some slight blurs to the printing so I ventured into the align print heads tool in the HP smart app. Some of the lines were so tiny I could not easily judge which lines were best aligned so I guessed when filling in the form. When I then went to print my next document I could no longer see most of the smaller size type fonts - just some very thin horizontal lines. I think the letters are have become very compressed - the colour text is fine - only black seems to be the problem . When I re-ran the align print heads tool in the HP smart app I get the following...
Missing lots of letters in align print heads test
How can I fix this?
Is there a way to factory reset the print heads alignment? - I would happily take the orignal set up over what I have now.

After filling a form an HP representative called me. They told me to change the cartridge. This solved the problem... I was unaware that the print heads were part of the cartridge (rather than the printer itself, which was my initial assumptions).
Not a perfect solution - the cartridge with the screwed up print heads had a lot of ink in there - but happy to have the printer operational again.
