Based on other posts, I believe I need to perform a Semi Full Reset on my Envy 7855 printer. The printer will not load/boot up. It does not go past loading the logo screen with the blue line and the first dot is in blue. As suggested in other posts, I have switched outlets, cords, held the power button down and plugged it back in, etc. I have tried other recommendations with no success. Based on other posts I'm hoping the semi full reset will work. I understand each printer is unique. Someone with HP printer experience please send me a message regarding the steps to proceed on performing the reset.

Update to the HP 7855 Printer problem when unable to boot up and not get past the blue line and one dot. I was able to find a phone number to HP Technical Support. To make a long conversation short, the tech told me that this was a hardware issue and there was no way to perform a Semi Full Reset unless the printer was logged in. He said there is no fix that a user can do to get it working except trying to diagnose what hardware parts need to be replaced and try to rebuild it. He suggested to trash it and buy a new printer. While digging through related information I found that these printers are only designed to last a few years. So I'll be buying a new printer, but most likely won't be HP.
