While setting up my new printer I was able to join it to the network and completely set it up on my computer.  However, the printer dashboard is stuck on

Online Setup Progress

The device is configuring this printer:

X Joined "----------" network

o Waiting for Web Services....

My internet is working fine on all other devices and I have rebooted my router and printer and it hasn't helped.

Welcome to the HP Support Community

Make sure the printer and the computer are connected to the same network.

I suggest you do a Hard Reset on the printer

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Then, turn on the web services on the printer.

  1. Print a Network Configuration Page.

    • Printers with LCD and text-based control panels: Print the page from the Wireless, Network Settings or Setup menu.

    • Printers with basic control panels (buttons only): Print the page using the button combinations on the printer control panel. For some printers, press the Wireless  and Information  buttons simultaneously, or press the Wireless and Start Copy Black  buttons at the same time.

For detailed instructions to print a Network Configuration Page, go to HP Customer Support, type your printer model, and then search for the document to 'print a self-test page.'

Try to set up the printer.

Keep me posted, how it goes!
