HP ENVY Photo 7155
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My new classroom has a HP ENVY Photo 7155 printer in it. It is clearly brand new, as it still had the little pieces of tape and carboard over everything.

I installed the ink that was here (was new in box), which were the only cartridges here.

An error came up saying "Use SETUP cartridges that came with printer." There are no such cartridges.

 

Please help. I don't want to throw out this new printer with new ink.

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you are receiving a "use setup ink cartridges" error.

 

We can perform a OOBE reset on the printer to resolve the issue

 

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
