ENVY 5055

I have an HP Win 10 PC and a Samsung Galaxy A tablet (Android - Nougat 7.1.1).  On occasion, I would like to print something remotely from my tablet to my HP ENVY 5055 printer which I had to purchase because my workhorse HP 960c Deskjet was not compatible with Win 10.

At first I could not get them to talk at all. Then I finally hit upon a solution, BUT, there are issues.

For example, even when I set the printer on the tablet to B&W and double sided - it prints in color and on separate pages.

Since my color cartridge is out of ink, I have to remove it from the printer in order to print the B&W that I want.

FYI, it was the HP print app that was causing the 1st problem (no communication between the printer & tablet) - I am using Samsung Print Service Plugin because  it appears to be the only way to print remotely from my tablet.

Has anyone run into this issue?

I will be also posting on the Samsun forum, but I was hoping someone else had the same issues.

I would start by checking the Android version to make sure you have the latest then give the HP plugin another try.
