Keeping an inkjet printer unused for weeks in not recommended.

But if you must keep it in energy-saving mode, the printer if unused will maintain itself from time to time. In both cases, you risk print quality issues.

This solves my issue.

I just wondered if for example printheads would be more "secured" while printer is totally powered down but it is opposite because of automatic maintain.

 

If I misunderstood please correct

You understood good.

It's always a risk leaving an inkjet printer unused for a longer period but automatic maintain will reduce possible later print quality issues.
