HP Smart Tank 6001 All-in-One
macOS 12.0 Monterey

After printing one page tonight, my printer stopped working and both printhead icons came on. I read the manual on line and followed the instructions about swabbing them clean. Unplugged, the whole bit. When I filled the black tank, that was over half full, the black quit flashing, but the multi-colored one didn't.

So I accepted that I might need to purchase a printhead - because my warranty has expired. Lo and behold, HP doesn't sell them. Amazon only has dupes and Newegg has them for about half the price of a new printer.

I really don't want to buy additional ink if it won't fix the problem. What do I try next?

Both printheads are back to blinking this morning. I've ordered a printer from another manufacturer. The other issues I have had with this printer -mainly that I have to reconnect it repeatedly. I have a Mac and don't have that problem with other printers.  Thank you for your time.
