HP Smart Tank Plus 551
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had this printer for over a year but have used it very little. Probably 100+ of the 770 pages printed with it have been printhead cleaning pages (along with about a quarter of the ink in the tanks).

The problem started just a couple of months after I received it and I should have had it taken care of then. Things were a bit too busy in my life so I pushed it off. At first, a printhead cleaning seemed to help, although the first part of each page still came out light.

Now, there is no way to fix the printing problems. I have run multiple head cleaning routines through the HP Smart app and they aren't even helping at all at this point. As you can see in the image, there are missing parts of the black printout and IMG_20210904_124314490.jpgthe printer is absolutely consistent in the printing. I am beyond frustrated with this printer and shouldn't have these kind of problems with a nearly new printer.

I realize that letting inkjet printers sit is the worst thing you can do for them, but this one is not even usable. Should I toss it or is there something I can do to get it going? I am very disappointed in a product this expensive to have these problems already. I have used HP printers for a very long time... one of my favorites was an old PaintJet that I used for years!
