I have issues with 'spooling' almost every time I attempt to print. I have gone through all the trouble shooting for computer and printer. Nothing works and it is very irritating!! I spoke to HP Support, with their help, it printed, now, not printing again. I have a legal document that I need printed!!!! I have an HP computer & HP printer. I attempted to find a phone number with no luck. I have been messing with this for over 2 hours. I am about to ditch HP for something else.

Hi @rodeo12,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I can truly understand how frustrating this is, especially when you’ve spent hours troubleshooting and need to print an important legal document. Let’s get this resolved quickly so you can move forward.

Quick Fix Steps

1. Restart Print Spooler Service

  1. Press Windows + R, type:
  2. services.msc
  3. Find Print Spooler, right-click → Restart.
  4. Try printing again.

2. Clear Print Queue

  1. Go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click your HP printer → See what’s printing.
  3. Cancel all pending jobs.

3. Update Printer Driver

  • Go to HP’s official site:
    👉 Official HP® Support
  • Enter your printer model and install the latest driver.

4. Use HP App

5. Print Directly to Printer (Bypass Spooler)

  • Go to Printer Properties → Advanced tab.
  • Select Print directly to printer instead of spooling.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
