Hi,
This is very frustrating. It's been happening a couple of times, printer got struck and doesn't print.
I did the firmware update, but now it's saying - Struck on Validating - please wait while we check the cartridge.
When you call HP Support even in the warranty period, they ask for paid help. In Future, I am going to avoid these HP products.

Hi @Harpreet7,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I completely understand how frustrating it can be when your printer gets stuck on the "Validating" screen, especially after you've already gone through the trouble of updating the firmware. It's really inconvenient when you need to print and your printer isn't cooperating.
I'm here to help you troubleshoot this issue!
Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:
Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can often clear temporary errors.
Check the Cartridges: Open the printer and ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed. Remove them and then reinstall them to ensure a secure connection. Check for any protective tape or packaging that might not have been removed from the cartridges.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts: Sometimes, dirt or residue on the cartridge contacts can cause communication issues. Gently wipe the contacts on both the cartridges and the printer with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab slightly moistened with distilled water. Allow them to dry completely before reinstalling.
Reset the Printer: If the issue persists, try performing a factory reset on your printer.
Restore factory defaults using the LaserJet M207-M212 printer control panel.
- Disconnect the printer power cord.
- On the control panel, press and hold the Resume button
.
- Without releasing the button, reconnect the power cord.
- Release the button when the Information light
turns on.
- After about 20 seconds, your printer automatically restarts.
Update Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. You can check the HP website for any updates specific to your model.
Keep me posted for further assistance
